Email Marketing + Digital + Design

Hello, I'm Antonio, I am an Email Marketing Manager based in London, England. I'm an advocate of responsive design, email optimisation and analysis with over 9 years’ experience.

about.

ON

I've been creating emails for almost a decade. having worked as an email marketing manager for software companies, real estates and law firms, like Salesforce, Knight Frank, Diligent, among others.
I have been involved in strategy and training, always helping to create a different analytical approach on designing mobile first communication, helping them to restructure the marketing team and keeping up to date with email marketing technology.

In the past few years I’ve worked on shorter projects where the focus is a specific section of the marketing chain, wherever there was a lack of responsive design or a poor structure or an ad problem in the communication method I managed to share my passion and brought along my expertise successfully.

OFF

In my free time I like hiking, wildlife and landscape photography, playing guitar and dream about live concerts and trips to do again in the future. I enjoy researching different ways of doing the things I love, always looking to optimise my time and create a more efficient way of working.

I'm on a mission to convince the world that the constraints and behaviours of the digital world are not incompatible with timeless editorial design values. Each project I work on is an opportunity to work that connects with the intended audience and brings increased success to the client efficiently.

EMAIL MARKETING THE BIG PICTURE

Once you have made your emails enjoyable, you know your results and your content is relevant to what people would love to hear, you will take your customer on a journey and they will longing for your content to arrive in their inbox.

Is not only a matter of great and simple design, but personalisation and a basic 1:1 approach in every round of communication can easily make goals more achievable.

EMAIL MARKETING SOME BIG QUESTIONS?

1. Are your clients receiving what they are expecting?
2. Where are your clients reading your emails?
3. Are your emails received as they were intended?
4. Is your nurture journey working?
5. Is your database clean and current?
6. Are your clients still hooked on your emails ?
7. Are they happy with the contents and quantity?
8. Has your marketing team been enabled to send emails?

Well if you are not happy ...

I think there's a way I can help...

EMAIL MARKETING MY APPROACH

Spending a bit of time on preparing this step will save you a lot of time later on when you will have to correct templates, having a constant contact with designers also will help to create a safe process.

By enabling your marketing team with specific email marketing knowledge and giving them access to your CRM will make you save some money and move faster to reach your goal.

EMAIL MARKETING THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE?

The customer and his journey always comes first. What are your client expectations?

Listening and understanding what the client is trying to achieve is always the beginning. I usually start by checking the data and understanding what’s happened in the past twelve months. By reading data and chatting with stakeholders about goals everything can be clearer.

EMAIL MARKETING Design and Consistency across

I always found it very important to keep consistency throughout the brands, emails, like each single part of the marketing journey should really look professional every time, emails should look like all the other parts of the chain. For example, if the colours, style or the design itself is poor or simply different from the one of the other channels, emails most likely will be seen as spam and probably deleted because seen as potentially dangerous.

EMAIL MARKETING Content and development

Content should be signed off beforehand, sometimes the less we touch the code of an email the better it is. It can be quite easy to get lost in coding and formatting issues, and the easy editors are not always that easy…

EMAIL MARKETING Testing

With over 30+ major email clients using different rendering, engines and various email providers, testing is required but with an eye to an updated client market share. Email Clients are making changes on a daily basis. Knowing where Email providers are working on, or being prepared will help to prevent rendering issues on the client’s journey.

A final word.

My goal was to build a website that looks like it was made in 2021.
This time I wanted to find a more clean and effective way to develop it. I started rethinking it from scratch. I believe that by having a clean, organised and maintainable code this would have helped me in my future development.

I have been able to keep the project in a single page website, I kept the expanding gallery, I added the dark mode using variables to make it easier to change colors in the future if needed. I also learned a few other css tricks, like skew and animation that I have decided not to use. I added the dark mode toggle on mobile menu, I studied css grid and restructured the entire html. I learned how to create a lighter structure without too much margin and padding. I also redesigned the logo, and refreshed my skills in Ph and Ai.

Future developments

- TRANSLATION: 2 languages in one page.
- PORTFOLIO: A better portfolio with multiple images for each project.
- CONTENT: Expand Email Marketing Section.

Credits.

I have developed this website using HTML5 and CSS. I coded it using VS Code. A big thanks goes out to my friend Maurizio, for inspiration, patience, help and words of encouragement.
